For those of you who have been following my adventures in photography, you may notice that I’ve been to some pretty amazing and challenging places. From Nepal to the Alps to the tops of the Teton Range I’ve put myself out there and put our gear through a lot to allow us to get the shots I need. Currently I am in the middle of a 5-month photo expedition around the world (again), and while this is super awesome it can also be a little…heavy at times. More often than any other non-photography question we get is how I am able to pack around enough stuff to get through it all; and quite frankly, I just don’t pack that many changes of clothes! Don’t worry, its not like I don’t do laundry, but seriously, I have to rely on clothing that can handle any situation I’m in. That’s where the Mountain Khakis Teton Twill shorts come in.
Now, before people accuse me of selling out, let me just clarify that I don’t get paid for saying this; I’ve had a pair of these shorts for the past 5 years (yes, that’s right…5 freaking years!) and anytime it’s over 60 degrees I can be found wearing them 2-3 times a week. Not only are they probably the most comfortable things on earth, they hold up to all the abuse I’ve put them through and still look great. The best thing about them however is that I can literally wear them to any situation imaginable (except maybe a funeral). They are nice enough to wear to a photo shoot with a client but also rugged enough to climb to the top of a fourteener to get a sunrise shot. Plus they have these really great hidden pockets for traveling to thwart those pesky thieves no matter where you go.
So for all of you who wonder how I travel all the time with all my camera gear and other essentials, its all about finding the right gear to help you get through it without having to even think about it. My Teton Twill shorts do the trick.
