So this time of year is one of the most exciting times to be a photographer. The weather, the hot chocolate, the COLORS!!!! So why not want to get out there and take some pictures. Go for a drive and find the perfect location and practice your mad skills. I love to take pictures of families this time of year and one thing i find a little challenging is getting good skin tones. With all the leaf colors it can be super hard to get the perfect color. SOme times i find that the skin color reflects the colors of the leaves so it can be difficult. There are a few things you can use to help get a great image. Practice your white balance settings. Every camera has different setting names but they are all essentially the same. There are presets you can use but I prefer to use the custom or kelvin settings. This will help you get great skin tones and beautiful colors.
If you’re interested in improving your portrait skills beyond this fall season make sure to check out the best darn portrait photography class around. Taught by super photographer April Bladh, this class teaches you all you need to know about how to rock your portraits.
